Christopher imparted good knowledge techniques and tips and made it easy to understand. He has a good approach combining showing telling and observing to help participants to get a full grasp of the methods under instruction. The workshop was excellent and high value. The weather made it challenging but we did it under cover thankfully.

I love taking photos of that corner of Newcastle Ocean Baths. There's always something happening there, and it's a very photogenic location. I enjoy the feeling of surrealism transmitted by the photo. I didn't want to crop the photo, so it is as shot. I wanted to capture the entire wall to enhance the stillness. To me, the wall corner and the railing on the far right are balanced by the three items on the far left: the seagull, the man with the hat, and the ship in the background, without compet

This photograph was captured early afternoon with a long exposure. I selected this time of day as there is a cliff directly behind the camera position that renders the small beach in full shadow from midafternoon. The aspect is looking due east so sunrise and afternoon are the best times to photograph from this location.

This image was photographed Sunday 12th May and this was the first opportunity that I have had to photograph Asto Landscape images this year as this was one of the few nights with very little cloud in what has been a very wet season. As the Milky Way Core rose above the horizon, it was obscured by a cloud bank out at sea. By the time the Milky Way Core had risen above the cloud, the cloud bank had turned into a storm. The 2 images that make up this photograph were captured using a Sony HA

this is probably my favourite photo I've taken yet of orion nebula. 48x 30s, 640iso, approx 30 dark frames and approx 50 offset/bias frames . 8" f8 gso rc on skywatcher eq6-r pro mount, using canon 6dii unmodified dslr with no filters. bortle one skies, graman. I don't blend or composite my photos as i feel it detracts excessively from what the camera sees and becomes more digital art than anything else, so I shot this at a fairly low exposure in order to not blow out the highlights

Arches is considered a dark sanctuary meaning using light painting is not allowed. I went to do Astro Photography in June of 2021. This was taken approximately 2am when the Milky Way rose to the center of the arch. While it is a dark sanctuary, someone was hiking on the other side with a headlamp giving me just a touch of light painting to outline the arch. I held the wide angle lens open approximately 13-seconds, ISO 1600.
